picklechess terms of use

Last updated: May 24, 2026

These terms are the basic rules for using picklechess, an account-free online board game. By using the site, you agree to these terms and to lawful, respectful use of the service.

Using the game

You may create rooms, join rooms, play games, spectate shared games, and invite others to play. Room codes, shared game links, and rejoin tokens act like access keys, so only share them with people you want to have access.

Fair play and acceptable use

Do not interfere with the service, bypass rate limits or access controls, overload the server, scrape private room data, or use the game to harass, impersonate, threaten, or disrupt other players.

No accounts or paid services

picklechess does not provide accounts, subscriptions, purchases, prizes, rankings, or gambling features. Games are for casual play and may be lost if a browser, room token, server process, or database record is unavailable.

Service availability and changes

The game is provided as is and as available. It may change, break, restart, or become unavailable, and no particular game state, room, link, feature, or result is guaranteed to remain available. Access may be limited or blocked if these terms are abused.

External links

The site may link to external services, such as Discord. Those services are not controlled by picklechess and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Privacy

The privacy page explains what the app stores and what it does not collect. You can review it at picklechess privacy.

Responsibility

Use picklechess only if you are allowed to do so where you live, and with parent or guardian permission when required. To the extent permitted by law, picklechess is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses from using or being unable to use the service.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the app changes. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the updated terms.
